About the Author

Dr Sam Shamardi DMD

Dr. Sam Shamardi is a periodontal specialist in Boston and a part-time Clinical Instructor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine Division of Periodontics.

Born in Spain and raised in California, Dr. Shamardi received his B.S. from the University of California, San Diego before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to earn his DMD, where he was elected class president by his peers for four consecutive years. Dr. Shamardi then trained for his Certificate in Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania and became a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology soon after. He launched Dental Innovations LLC with the goal of improving the career and experience of the dental professional by introducing practical solutions for issues that he has found to be ignored or unaddressed through his first hand experience as a practicing clinician. Dr. Shamardi is fluent in three languages and enjoys watching sports and following current affairs.

About the Interviewer

Dr Steven Cohn

Dr. Steven Cohn is a specialist endodontist in Sydney, he has taught endodontics at Sydney University and Westmead Hospital at both the undergraduate and graduate level since 1979. He is a Past President and Honorary Life Member of both the NSW and Federal branches of the Australia Society of Endodontology and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists.
